At the tender age of 10 I was inspired to play guitar after seeing The Sweet perform Blockbuster on TV, a seminal moment for me. Guitar lessons followed and Grade 8 Classical Guitar/Grade 5 in Theory of Music were attained at an early age. As a gigging musician, I have always had a passion for producing and recording music, my current setup is based around Apple’s Logic Pro. I can provide music for TV, films, ad campaigns. I also write, arrange and produce for other musicians and singers.

Returning to England to work in this post-house, I found myself working with a wide range of clients, both production companies and agencies. I also gained a huge amount of experience working on the world renowned Bob the Builder series, having graded and finished 10's of episodes, in addition to completing 4 full length features, adding special effects and compositing. When my wife had the opportunity to resume her career back in Germany I resigned.

I jumped at the chance to continue my career in a foreign country, in this case Germany. My position here was back into the fire of the Ad Agency world, where clients included Grey, BBDO, Ogilvy. I worked on some worldwide ad campaigns, including Dove, Pepsi Cola, Rogoff. I also had the opportunity to train junior members of staff.

After having worked on a freelance basis for this American UK based broadcaster, I was approached and offered a full time job. This position was the most creative I have ever held, due in large part to a team of people who were absolutely professional, enthusiastic and creative. Sadly the job lasted only one year, as financial problems caused its demise in its current form. Although I was offered a position at CNBC in the aftermath, I declined, as the financial nature of the programming didn't appeal.

I joined this Arabic UK based broadcaster to build on previous experience, and in order to train in a digital suite, Quantel's Editbox. Worked on in-house on-air promotions and programmes. Was the most challenging role I have had to date.

I joined this sports broadcaster in order to take my first real editing position. Worked on in-house on-air promotions, and had the opportunity to flex my creative muscles as I was given freedom to contribute design ideas.

Building on my experience at the BBC, now in a client oriented environment, assisted editors in analogue and digital edit suites in the making of pop videos, commercials, corporate programmes.

Learnt the basics of Videotape operation and practice. At that time, 1", 2" and beta/umatic in a broadcast environment, playing into/recording from studios. Transmitting prerecorded programmes. Dubbing.

I worked here unpaid assisting musicians to produce demo tapes in an 8-track recording studio. The studio was at this time a non-profit organisation, set up to help unemployed musicians. i also served on the committee.
