Developing personal leadership and management skills in an environment where nerve and ability to think on your feet are constantly tested and being put through paces under, often extreme, military conditions. Developing fitness, stamina, and perseverance had become an integral part of maintaining a strong focus during my studies. Trust was invested in me to command the Pipes and Drums; as well as responsibility to co-ordinate and deliver a proportion of the officer training in the advanced wing.
