Physical DB Design for a DB2 for z/OS version of the Oracle Enterprise Tax Management System (ETM). Design and implementation of processes for the efficient transfer of data incrementally from ETM to the Oracle Data Warehouse using PL/SQL and triggers. Migration of data from the DB2 version of ETM to the Oracle version to facilitate testing.

Responsible for all aspects of the use of DB2 in projects CPOS/CREP (Client Positions/Client Reporting) which run on a very large and complex database on a 12-way data sharing system. Novel use of BMC Change Manager and Log Master to make DB2 Schema Changes without needing to stop the application. DB2 for z/OS performance specialist in the MIPs Reduction, Stability and Performance project.

DB2 consultant in project SAPHIR, one of the largest SAP HR installations in the world according to IBM and SAP. Based in Bielefeld, Germany. Design and implementation of backup and recovery strategies for SAP R/3 in a DB2 for z/OS data sharing environment using DB2 conditional restart. Query tuning for Star-Join queries against the SAP Business Warehouse.

Worked as a database consultant for many Fortune 500 companies, including Oracle in Holland and IBM in Germany. I have presented internationally on database topics (Europe, USA and Africa). I continue to look for opportunities to help companies in the design, implementation and tuning of modern data-centric applications.
