Sven Hager

I am currently working towards a Ph.D. in Computer Science at Humboldt University in Berlin. My research interests are fast network packet classification and rule set optimization, both for hardware and software classification engines. I am further interested in network security, scalable network search structures, and compiler/interpreter design. I work a lot with C, C++, and VHDL, and I use Python as a quick prototyping tool.

In my master's studies, I focused on efficient VM designs for dynamic languages, such as Python, R, and Prolog. Beyond that, my secondary focus was in network security and scalable distributed data structures.

In my undergraduate studies, my major interest was in logic programming and computer networks. The topic of my B.Sc. thesis was the extension of an RPython-based Prolog VM.
