Sven Kohlhaas

I work as VP, SAP Product Lead at Redwood Software. In that role, I’m across the globe end-to-end responsible for the Redwood product success related to SAP, focusing on delivering a robust and scalable platform that integrates seamlessly with various SAP modules. This includes being the voice of the customer, co-innovation with SAP, product vision, road mapping, feature definition and development, quality assurance, rollout, and more.

I worked as the Senior Customer Success Executive for SAP at Red Hat. In that role, I’m end-to-end responsible for the customer/partner success of SAP with their Red Hat product and services usage incl. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and Red Hat OpenShift. This also includes topics ranging from business value practice to security and automation strategy.

I worked as a software development manager in the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) unit at SAP with responsibilities across several software development teams in the area of SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry Runtime running on AWS, MS Azure, GCP, and AliCloud, as well as SAP Private Link service working daily with cloud native technologies like Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, and more.

I worked as the executive business assistant and customer/partner officer for Michael Wintergerst, head of SAP Cloud Platform Core, at SAP. In that role I support Michael Wintergerst in leading a 1,000+ global development and operations organization in the area of SAP Cloud Platform with teams in Germany, Israel, Bulgaria, India, and China. Amongst the technologies are SAP’s Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, application server, data management, security, and development experience offerings.

As a product manager I specialized on application development with the SAP Cloud Platform and the SAP HANA Platform at SAP in Walldorf. There, I focused on product road map, roll out, and roll in activities. The roadmap and rollin activities included meeting with customers and partners to help them in finding their best fit of our PaaS services for their use cases and enterprise architecture landscapes and showing them where we are headed in the next years.

At the SAP Labs in Palo Alto, USA, I worked as a software developer on the cloud backend to BUILD.me, a SaaS product that enables designers to easily create mobile and web apps without the need for a developer. There, I created and implemented part of the multitenancy layer to improve scalability and security.

At SAP in Karlsruhe, I was part of the SAP HANA platform unit and worked in the lean performance engineering team. I worked primarily on performance optimizing of SAP HANA database queries. But I also tackled performance problems and their solutions in various Java EE application scenarios.

The focus of my studies in my major, computer science, at the Karlsruher Institute of Technology (KIT) were in software requirements, architecture, and quality. I concentrated on how optimal business software is build and how software quality characteristics like performance are ensured. Additionally, in my minor, business administration, I learned many value lessons on corporate finance, strategy, and leadership.
