    JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths)

    The JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths) program, organized by the Japan Embassy, selected seven students from across Pakistan for a theme-related ten-day trip to Japan. Last year’s theme was ENVIRONMENT, and I was honored to be recommended by my university to participate in this trip. During our visit, we attended seminars on Japan’s infrastructure and buildings, explored solar energy generation, and immersed ourselves in Japan’s rich culture and civilization.

The internship helped me acquire some new skills, such as measuring cell density, estimating biomass, and observing algae under the microscope and bacterial culture handling. I also operated some essential equipment like a centrifuge and light microscope. But the most important skill I acquired there was time management, teamwork, and dedication.
