Ülkemizde “Aktüerler Derneği”, 1951 yılında “Türkiye Aktüerler Cemiyeti” adı altında 12 aktüerin bir araya gelmesi ile kurulmuştur. 1980 yılında kapatılan dernek, 1981 yılında Prof. Dr. Kenan Ural başkanlığında ve “Aktüerler Derneği” adıyla yeniden faaliyete başlamıştır. 87 üyesi ile birlikte mesleğin gelişimi ile ilgili çalışmalarına devam etmektedir. Actuarial Society of Turkey was founded in 1951. There were 12 founding members of the society.
