Über mich
Tamer is a renewable and off-grid energy expert, solar project developer, and strategy and operations consultant. Recently he helped scale the MIT-incubated startup OnePower, now a leading off-grid developer in sub-Saharan Africa, to reach financial close on the world’s 2nd largest minigrid transaction at the time and the first utility-scale solar project in Lesotho. He is currently a consultant for World Bank Energy Practice, supporting renewable energy transitions in developing countries. His work experience ranges from technical project management for organizations such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (D-Lab) and the US Department of Energy (ARPA-E) to program management for a host of international organizations such as the UN and USAID.
