Validation Scientist in the Research Team Analytical Chemistry at Biomin, Tulln (DSM), involved in analytical method validation and FDA registrations!

The Molecular Epidemiology team focuses on non-invasive biomarkers in lung, colorectal and prostate cancer via comprehensive, (inter-)national multi-cohort studies. Deciphering metabolic, genetic and microbial signatures using -omics techniques are urgently needed to improve personalized diagnostics. I am member of numerous international consortia, implicating regular teleconferences and intercultural research activities.

I was working at the highly competitive Max Perutz Labs (Vienna Biocenter) in the research field of virology, more specifically elucidating the molecular structure of human rhinovirus (HRV) genomes. In- and transfection of human cell lines, cultivation and biochemical identification including organisms of diverse genera in BSL-2 laboratory facilities, as well as data analysis and presentation in English were regularly performed.

Research Assistant at the LBI-LVR (Lung Vascular Research) in Graz, Austria., focusing on pathomechanisms of lung vascular remodelling. Immunohistochemistry, RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, real-time PCR, protein isolation and quantification via BCA and western blot were among the basic molecular biology techniques performed on a daily basis.

Assistant in teaching and research lab courses for BSc and MSc studies (biology, molecular biology and microbiology) at the Institute of Molecular Biosciences in Graz, Austria.

This training qualifies alumni to supervise clinical trials (with medical devices and medicinal products) according to international standards (ICH-GCP) and provides profound knowledge in legal order, quality management, pharmacovigilance, audits or inspections (CRF, study protocol).
