As part of the production team, I made sure that all daily KPIs were met and that the production line was operating without issues in a safe and controlled manner. My day-to-day responsibilities included: Supervising one of the packing machines, making sure there were no issues with the operation and Assisting the Production Manager with the automation of various Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, one of them being for the automatic calculation of the daily labour needs.

Within this role, I was involved in academic research and programming in order to provide assistance to one of the institution’s PhD tutors. My responsibilities included: Developing a program with Python to calculate the bending in the specimens, researching the influence of bending on low cycle fatigue stress test and analysing academic sources.

During my first year with the company, I learnt how to do drilling, welding, turning, milling, and grinding. I also learnt CNC-Programming and how to apply it in order to solve complex problems. Furthermore, I was involved in creating technical manuals. Later on, I progressed on to analysing damage turbines in a laboratory as well as maintaining and repairing the drilling, turning and milling machines of the company.
