I am responsible for the Engineering department within Alstom Digital & Integrated Systems (Mannheim) which develops Onboard Active Train Protection systems - both ETCS based as well as country-specific ATP systems. As an engineering manager I am primarily responsible for the people side of engineering as well as driving Agile process improvements and ensuring my team has everything they need to deliver highly available and safe onboard embedded system solutions.

I am leading a team of Process experts, DevOps engineers and Configuration Managers to improve the engineering efficiency of our ETCS Onboard development program (~15 Scrum teams). My team is distributed across three sites in Sweden, Germany and India. Furthermore I am supporting the Scrum Masters in our development program as a Release Train Engineer based on SAFe.

Leading a team of software developers, architects and testers to develop the ETCS Onboard System, acting as a line manager and Scrum Master. My team is distributed across two sites in Germany and India. Furthermore I'm supporting and coaching the organisation around me in regards to agile methods and tools, currently with a focus on DevOps.

Projects: 1) Development of a train diagnostic system; 2) Development of a rich client tool for the product introduction of vehicle based IP network systems; 3) Support work for a vehicle project in Mumbai (Diagnostics Infrastructure); 4) Introduction of Scrum and agile methods into an international organisation that is used to waterfall / v-model style development;

Worked as a software developer. 1) Development of an ethernet-based software update/ service interface for a single-tasking OS-less embedded system. Aspects: Ethernet driver development for a Motorola M68K based board, integration of a proprietary TCP/IP stack. Technologies: Assembler, C, Python. 2) Development of a measurement system for track monitoring. Aspects: Embedded Real Time Appliance on a rail vehicle, UMTS-Data-Transfer to Internet-Server, Data evaluation with RoR-based Web Application.
