Rational design and combinatorial biosynthesis of peptide antibiotics. BioFuture award and grant (1.6 Mio. Euro) from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Member of the EU network ENDIRPRO (Directed evolution of functional proteins). Area of duties: general management (e.g. project and personnel management, as well as budget), setting-up of collaborations, genetic/metabolic engineering, protein engineering, bioanalytics, assay development, patents, publications and presentations, teaching.
