I've been working as a freelancer in Barcelona (Spain), Birmingham(United Kingdom) and Bucharest (Romania) and for various companies, using the LAMP stack and popular PHP frameworks such as Zend Framework or Symfony as well as proving security consulting and code review services.

After starting a company with 2 other friends, we got accepted to participate in the first class of Oxygen Accelerator, a 13 weeks intensive bootcamp in Birmingham, UK, during which we would have to produce a MVP to showcase in front of over 100 potential investors in Birmingham and London. My duties included coding the project, setting up the development and production environments on Amazon AWS, interact with mentors and give the presentation in front of the investors.

I was part of a small team of developers developing a complex PCIDSS compliant payment system using PHP, Zend Framework, MySQL, python, bash. My duties were focused around the core architecture of the platform, security and maintainability. I ran periodic meetings in which I would present to the team ways in which we can improve the code base in order to guarantee the long term success of the platform.

My responsibilities included coding in PHP or python, managing the company's web servers and provide technical support for all on going projects.

My duties were teaching the PHP and Javascript / CSS courses, write the materials and presentation slides for students, as well holding in house trainings for client companies.

I worked on various projects using open source technologies. My duties were to identify the best way to solve the problems I was assigned which included talking with clients and providers, give time estimations, implement the solution and report to the team leader.

I worked in new/media agency - later Navidoo - which was the web & digital agency of thegroup. My responsibilities included working on various projects for FMCG clients on the romanian market, usually in collaboration with other agencies in order to provide an integrated advertising solution - web, print, BTL and so on - to our customers.

My duties were running day to day operations in the tech department, being responsible for deliverables, interviewing and hiring new employees in my department, managing the infrastructure in the office (routers, printers) and programming and architecting the new projects. Technologies used included CakePHP, Javascript, CSS and a full LAMP stack.

Primary Java instructor on the Fundamentals of Java Programming course. My responsibilities were to teach the students about Object Oriented Programming in Java, how to design graphical interfaces with AWT and Swing and how to create a simple multi-threaded application, as well as supervising them when taking their assessments.
