Continuation of research on optimization with discrete desicions on transport networks based on hyperbolic PDEs. The application is the optimization of traffic light settings on road networks based on the macroscopic LWR traffic model. This time we use outer convexification methods using IPopt and ADOL-C and compare it to results of former research, where the model was transformed into a linear MIP which was solved by CPLEX.
