Adminstrative Secretary to Executive Director and Medical Director of 114 bed, 3rd world Haitian medical center in Deschapelle, Haiti. Typed, wordprocessed, counted change in French, kept many keys, sold stamps, kept organization running smoothly in absence of American boss who traveled extensively. We had no phone from Deschapelles to outside, we had to go to St. Marc to make phone calls, no e-mail, only letters and telegrams. I worked alongside MCC (Mennonite Central Committee).

Started in Burn Unit as Unit Secretary for 6 months, then moved to Med Records. Typed medical Reports on Lanier Wordprocessor, using microcassettes fed into "tanks". Really the beginning of the computer age, it was state of the art at the time. Filed reports.

Medical Transcriptionist at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, also the main U of M Hospital, in Radiology Department. Typed medical reports on electric typewriters, 3-ply carbon copy forms, using belt-tape recorded dictations. Learned to do "direct dictation" which is typing while being spoken to in radiology reading room, as doctors went through scads of films (scoliosis). Delivered, filed, typed articles for Index Medicus, illustrated an article in Medical Journal.

Secretary to Arthur Greenblatt, Dean of College, typed, couriered, filed. Answered phones.
