Master thesis: TU Dresden: Institute for Groundwater Management Topic: Assessment of biological degradation around a vadose zone infiltration well Assessment of spatial variability of biodegradation below vadose zone infiltration well in laboratory soil tank at TU Dresden using synthetic wastewater (enriched with glucose and ammonia), TDR sensors and ceramic suction cups. Collection and interpretation of data and evaluation of results for oxygen content and DOC analysis.

Study project: Technische Universität Dresden Institute for Urban Water Management Topic: Interaction of Chlorella Vulgaris with Heavy Metals The study was about the heavy metal (Lead and Nickel) binding capacity of microalgae Chlorella Vulgaris (active and inactive algae) in water. Using Atomic adsorption spectrometry the analysis of final concentration of heavy metal in water containing algae was done. Further analysis of biosorption was conducted by using isotherms and kinetic experiments.
