Verena Lindner

This project investigated the usage of digital devices, such as mobile phones, in the car as a means to combat boredom. In this three year project, I was able to contribute to the early design stages. Specifically, I conducted case studies, did concept and scenario development including storyboarding and sketching and held interviews and workshops. I also contributed to two publications. This internship was done in the Urban Informatics Research Lab in the School of Design at the QUT, Brisbane.

Development of a web application for the creation of new contracts for PAYBACK partner (specified in XML Schema and XML files). I was part of the whole software design cycle (concept, implementation, testing). Responsibilities involved: design and implementation of the UI; development of a renderer and parser for XML Schema and XML files; and creation of the user manual. Holding of Tutorial Classes, Correction of Exercises

Creation of a fully functional prototype of a novel information system. Technologies and tools used included: JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS, MySQL.
