For my master thesis work, I worked on the interaction of T cells with antigen presenting cells and helped to elucidate a newly discovered pathway.

During my 2 months external laboratory rotation in Kate Schroder's laboratory in Brisbane, I had the chance to work in the field of innate immunity, especially in the field of inflammasomes. I worked on the way inflammasomes signal in macropaghes and activate the immune system.

In this internship I helped to elucidate the structure of Noroviruses and their interaction with histo-blood group antigens.

In the first year of this extracurricular programme for talented students, I had the chance to work within an interdisciplinary group of students and write a research proposal of our choosing. During the second year of this programme (and the third Bachelor year) I was able to perform an extra internship and write my first literature thesis. All in all this extra programme comprises 30 additional credit points
