Conducted research on CO₂ mitigation strategies in the cement and steel industries, focusing on process optimization, alternative fuels, and carbon capture technologies. Analyzed process energy flows, kiln efficiency, and clinker factor reduction using engineering modelling tools, identifying scenarios with a potential CO₂ reduction of 15–25%. Additionally, performed preliminary techno-economic assessments of waste heat recovery and carbon capture integration to support informed industrial decision-making.

Studied the nitrogen-based coke dry cooling process, analyzing cooling curves, coke discharge temperature, and gas–solid heat transfer to improve heat recovery. Identified quality issues such as coke breakage and non-uniform cooling, and proposed operational changes to enhance product quality and process stability. Prepared technical documentation, including PFD updates, monitoring sheets, and process deviation reports, supporting daily operations and safety reviews.

Monitored evaporation, crystallization, and centrifuge units, collecting process data on steam consumption, juice purity, and crystal growth rates. Conducted mass balance checks and supported heat integration studies to improve energy efficiency in the boiling house. Contributed to a reported 3–5% improvement in process stability by identifying bottlenecks in clarification and boiling operations, and preparing deviation reports for production meetings.
