Project: "Modulation of dendritic cell function by the fungal quorum sensing molecule farnesol" - Analyzed dendritic cells and T cells phenotypic and functional properties through multi-color flow cytometry, T cell expansion assays, western blot, multiplex assays, qRT-PCR and transcriptomics. - Oral and written presentation of complex scientific concepts into broader audiences evidenced by 2 peer-reviewed publication and presentations in +5 international conferences.

- Representation of doctoral researchers points of concern during the Executive Board meetings, leading to 50% increased budget allocated to international conference and lab visits. - Organization, planning and execution of the 7th International Conference on Microbial Communication for Young Scientists. - Organization of social events for the Jena School for Microbial Communication community.

- Led the development, design and review of new protocols for isolation and characterization of T cells from HIV-infected children, resulting in guidelines for the clinical follow-up of these patients. - Organization of regular meetings to ensure the completion of this project. Excelled at gathering professionals from different backgrounds, including Medical Doctors, Professors, Nurses and Lab technicians. - Excellent communication skills through presentation of scientific results in 4 conferences.
