Real time fraud detection for the telecoms industry on a UNIX system, connecting to an Oracle DB; designed and implemented a model based upon the FFT of calling patterns; application and DB streamlining and optimized; redesigned and optimized; porting the to other UNIX systems. DB performance tuning and DB creation/maintenance. Installation and acceptance testing on customer sites. Worked on the innovations team and closely with the mathematicians.

Insurance quote engine written in C++ and C in a 32-bit Windows 95/NT environment. Also SQL database programming, a client/server application using inter-process communications (named-pipes) on NT. Programme design and coding of a completely new motorcycle quote engine written in C++ using a client/server approach. Monthly update of software to apply changes in insurance policy details.

Point of sales systems for the hospitality industry, including back-office, accounting and real-time data processing, running under OS/2, written in C using a client/server model.
