Core Skills: Elixir, PostgresSQL, Terraform, CircleCI, AWS, Nix, Docker Working closely with the development teams at SafeBoda and the CTO, I am working on a project to modernise and future-proof their ride-hailing system, migrating a PHP backend for their ride hailing application to a scalable and fault-tolerant distributed system, leveraging Elixir, Postgres, Terraform, Nix, and AWS.

In addition to desiging and implementing software solutions to meet our needs as a business, I took responsibility for the leadership of the development effort, supervising 4 developers and mentoring them on our codebase and programming languages.

Skills: JavaScript (NodeJS, Angular, React), RabbitMQ, MongoDB, C#, Elixir, Docker, Ansible, Terraform Senior software development role, responsible for development and delegated team leadership duties. Designed, and Implemented and deployed a CI/CD pipeline that included the introduction of Docker to encapsulate microservices. I also designed and wrote a rule engine in Elixir, which is the heart of the monitoring and alerting application that this system replaced, originally written in PHP.

Joining through the acquisition of AppDNA by Citrix and promoted in 2015, I have since been assigned to working on features in the Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop line of products, and my knowledge has expanded to include working with modern development technologies and methodologies. I have experience with working on a large and complex software that is worked on by many teams around the world.

Skills: C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Web Services, T-SQL Progressed from support to development, working with the development team at AppDNA, following the Agile process for development and release management. Duties were initially focused on bug fixing, build maintenance, code quality and escalations from customers, and then moving on to feature work with AppDNA.

Skills: IIS setup and configuration, SQL Server, Powershell, Server 2003 – 2012R2, Networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, etc), AD Providing software support to customers in the setup and use of the product, as well as break-fix. Initially this role was a 1st line position, before quickly encompassing initial support through to escalation to development. At the end of my tenure in this role I began to write a C# helper application in order to assist customers with their issues.
