Backend development of a specialized custom repository server in Java and PostgresQL. After the integration into PeakAvenue, took on end‑to‑end tasks in the existing Angular/TypeScript/ASP.NET Core stack and implemented, among other things, dashboards, process statistics, Insights data sources, real‑time metrics, as well as workflow, permission, and version management functions.

Achieved significant improvements to modern, concise, maintainable, and reliable Apache Camel routes. – Replaced AWS Secrets with Kubernetes Secrets exposed as ENV variables in the corresponding Docker images. – Replaced custom BasicAuthentication logic with an advanced Camel Spring Security policy. – Removed the outdated custom AWSS3 client and adopted the current Camel AWSS3component. – Applied Camel retry mechanisms to handle technical exceptions globally, resulting in more robust microservices.

Modernized hundreds of outdated ServiceMix integrations into high‑quality native Quarkus Camel integrations running on OpenShift. – Achieved full test coverage for the routes using JUnit5, Wiremock, Embeded Artemis, QuarkusTest and Mockito. – For example, the JMS with XA transaction boundaries functionality was tested in various positive/negative scenarios. – It starts in only 3 milliseconds and operates with a minimal memory requirement of 100 MB RAM. – Resulting in a considerable OpenShift cost reduction.

Legacy migration and testing: – Transformed on‑premise Apache Camel integrations into high‑quality Spring Boot Camel microservices. – Achieved 100% test coverage for optimized routes using Wiremock, SpringTest and JUnit5. – Example: Verified that a DEV SAML token is not accepted by a PROD ststrust.jks. Service Activity Monitoring (SAM). Azure Application Insights with Camel. Improvements to Zurich Helm Charts. Integration of Azure DevOps and AKS. Project optimizations e.g. Apache Kafka retry mechanisms.
