Yingying Zhang

- Employed theoretical methods to predict the structure and electronic properties of materials, including polymers, - Simulated stacking configurations of materials, analyzing their effects on chemical properties, and identifying potential applications in electronics, catalysis, and energy storage. - Utilized Python, Bash for efficient data analysis and compelling visualization of simulation results, enhancing understanding for diverse audiences. - Support in supervising doctoral students and in teaching.

I work as a research associate in the research group, which includes investigations on 2D polymer using different methods (DFT, DFTB, force field .etc), inter-group collaborations with experimentalists, object-oriented programming via python, and operations on HPC.

My duties consist of investigation of optical, electronic and thermal properties of materials using theoretical methods, and digging out innovative applications of frontier layered material for photocatalysis.
