I am working on the analysis of aircraft videos of the Golf of Lion (France) to estimate the size structure of Bluefin tuna schoolsI am writing an R-code that can analyze videos (big data) based on image processing method to extract size composition of Bluefin tuna schools. The results of this work will be the future numerical method to the extraction and quantification (number, size) of tuna schools, data used for the stock assessment and management of Bluefin tuna fisheries.

I worked under FishBase research group at the Helmholtz Center for Ocean Research ‘GEOMAR’ on the stock assessment of Tunisian fish stocks using the CMSY method (Froese et al., 2016) based on catch and resilience. I had to understand the CMSY R-code (code started to be written from 2010), to describe it thoroughly and to apply it on my data. I also participated in writing a new part that can calculate the resilience of species from life history traits.

this university degree led me to develop qualifications in decision support methods, strategic monitoring and forecast analysis (multi-criteria and multi-scale analysis) combining ecological and socio-economic models for the management of natural resources.
