Lead Operator Requirements and Planning team within Convergence Software Engineering, focused on XPERIA products. Subject Matter Expert and team lead in Convergence DU for operator requirements, planning, and development launch support for Tier 1 Global Operators. Work with all internal and external 3rd party development teams to drive operator requirements into SEMC products. Manage technical aspects and external customer communication to support product launch.

Responsible for overall strategy and planning of devices launched by Virgin Mobile. Subject matter expert and author/owner of device requirements. Manage handset vendors and third parties in development of handsets to meet Virgin Mobile requirements.

Manage company handset programs from concept to launch. Responsible for end to end product management of Amp’d handsets. Work with various internal cross functional teams to successfully launch new products and software. Responsible for overall device roadmap and launch process. Manage handset vendors and third party manufacturers in the development of cellular handsets to meet Amp’d requirements. Develop and document handset product requirements.

Execute software/hardware protocol, data, and RF field tests for mobile stations. Work directly with engineering teams at major wireless carriers and handset vendors to assist in device certification process.. Perform software quality assurance field testing for mobile carriers and handset vendors. Provide field testing support in the development, test and overall qualification of CDMA handsets and devices. Work with wireless carriers and device vendors developing field test plans and device specifications.

Lead software developers and testing teams to complete commercial launch of mobile handsets. Manage the planning and execution of products and programs through leadership of cross-functional teams. Provided team leadership and facilitated team performance within the company for software design projects and new handset launches.Work with individual wireless carriers worldwide regarding issues and updates of firmware used in mobile handsets.

Lead internal engineering teams to build device requirements and complete certification of mobile terminals for commercial sale. Led teams to complete CDG-3 field tests for mobile stations. Assisted vendors including Lucent, Alcatel, Motorola, 3Com, and Comverse with product feature testing and RF engineering to ensure the launch of the first CDMA2000 voice and data network in India. Developed test plans, standards, and reporting procedures for lab and field test environment.

Manage new products and services from concept to generation launch. Developed and managed product acceptance and system testing initiatives for company. Lead engineering teams to successfully complete product approval of new mobile devices on network. Directly involved in the design, deployment, testing, and optimization of the first CDMA IS-95 and CDMA2000 1xRTT voice and data networks for Western Wireless. Successfully launched 1st CDMA2000 data network in the United States.
