    To increase the life span of an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) based SOFC by integrating a new component in it. Various Perovskite-type LaCrO3 ceramic materials were investigated based on electrical conductivity and area specific resistance tests under anode side relevant conditions. Based on the best material, integrated the diffusion barrier layer by plasma spray process into the fuel cell. Performed electrochemical analysis for SOFC with this new component. Performed Post investigations XRD, SEM, EDX mapping
