Organized and ran successful farm direct food buying club. Coordinated operations between farmers and consumers to further equitable prices for local and organic produce, dairy and meat.

Organized a successful Vegetable CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm serving Southeast Portland, OR. Rising Stone Farm also vends at People’s Farmers Market and sells produce to restaurants and food buying clubs.

Intensive herbalism and herb farming apprenticeship program; helped plant, harvest, and process herbs for a 60 acre commercial farm. Intensive herbal studies program, included anatomy, medicine making, ayruvedic practices and over 100 plant usages

Yearlong farming apprenticeship on a five-acre mixed vegetable/livestock farm; North Country School/Camp Treetops is a co-ed experiential education boarding school/camp for children ages 8-16. Co-taught a 7th grade course called Edible Schoolyard; designed and implemented environmental/wilderness skills curriculum for after school and weekend activities.

A year of academic study in India, Tanzania, New Zealand and Mexico. Major course work included: economics, anthropology, sociology, environmental policy, and social movements. We worked with various governmental and non-governmental organizations and StartUps.
