Composite structural optimization of Wind Turbine blades using Lamination parameter based python-framework Objectives: - Performing structural optimization to improve the reference blade - Implementing a workflow for loosely coupled optimization, where the optimized structural design is applied in the calculation of updated critical load cases, which in turn are applied in the next stiffness optimization loop.
Load Analysis and Design Department My responsibilities in the project include: - Structural Analysis and Modeling of a wind turbine blade with raw data from Fraunhofer. - Implementing preprocessor codes for FE model validation, evaluate different modeling strategies, identification of modeling errors. - Wrote Matlab Scripts to prepare customized-properties as required for optimization.
