Software Engineer, code reviewer. I worked on a project in the field of satellite transmission aimed at prototyping a system for Internet navigation and multimedia IP streaming via satellite link. I thoroughly worked at the review of code mainly focusing on bugs detection and partially on code rewriting. I worked with an expert to detect and correct bugs in the FW components and with a kernel expert to partly rewrite the ad-hoc driver for network socket. I implemented many missing features in the sw.

I worked at a set of applications in finance & banking context for a financial platform. The applications connected to some international exchanges and gathered data disseminated by the markets each of them using a specific application protocol. The applications were in charge of parsing raw data, interpreting the engineered data structures and updating a proprietary file-system-oriented DB.

Developer. I extended and enhanced the capabilities of a application-level software gateway intended to manage FIX4.4-based communications between brokers and traders in the financial markets activities context. The application was an event-driven, highly asynchronous application using MSSQL DB as transaction data storage system.

Analyst developer. I developed a user library to send commands to an AEA-compliant printer device through an Async-RS232 device. The application supported UNICODE char-set using UTF8 encoding. I developed the code for the lexical tokenizer/parser and the syntactical analyzer for messages exchanged between host and printer. I implemented algorithms to en/decoding strings from/to ASCII pseudo-hex representation, and transform strings from standard to presentation form-B Arabic char-set

Analyst and Architect. I worked at an RT application running on an embedded system in a redundant HW configuration and aimed at controlling, in an autonomous way, a gun fire system installed on Italian Navy frigates. I gave contributions to the analysis of system features and functional design; I sketched the redundancy algorithm, I devised the software architecture and I implemented some software components.

Analyst developer and code reviewer. I worked at an Automatic Message Handling System application software for the Italian Navy. I defined a new architecture for existing code and optimized the infra-networking communication between the modules running on Linux and Windows hosts.

Analyst developer subsystem integrator, system administrator, bug fixer. I implemented a distributed application acting as a sw gateway dispatching incoming messages (from radio/satellite link and/or RS232/Ethernet channels) to the nodes of the internal LAN of frigates of Italian Navy. The application was encapsulated into a NATO a complex software running on an HP-UX, Solaris and Windows workstations

Analyst developer and tester. I devised the architecture and I codes few modules of an application running on a SBC equipped with various types of devices: GPS, GSM/GPRS board for communication purposes; analogical RS232-based devices, DIO boards for data acquisition/monitoring purposes. I retailed a Linux distribution from scratch to support all devices installed on the SBC.

Engineering/optimization of calibration sw for radio-measure systems installed in the airports. DB designer for data calibration acquisition.

Developer and tester. I developed a set of applications aimed at managing the whole process flow of documentation from customers of the telco firm: document acquisition via mail, email, fax, scanner, manual data entry; storage of digitalized document into NoSql db, automatic reply via e-mail, wherever requested. The applications were targeted to different OSes and developed with different programming languages.
