Job Description Summary:
As Head of Strategy and Business Excellence, Corporate Communications(CC)*, you are responsible for leading the strategic planning, operational excellence, capability building and performance management of the global CC function. You will ensure alignment with business objectives, drive cross-functional collaboration, and enhance the impact, efficiency, and consistency of communications across the organization so the function can operate at its best. You will also embed the transformation agenda in order for CC to become an industry leading function by 2028. You will act as a strategic advisor to the Head of Communications and senior leadership, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Planning & Governance:
Develop and implement the global communications strategy in alignment with corporate goals.
Lead annual planning, budgeting, and resource allocation processes for the communications function.
Establish governance frameworks and operating models to ensure consistency and compliance.
Operational Excellence:
Design and optimize processes, tools, and systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of communications activities.
Oversee project management, vendor management, and internal workflows to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
Budget planning and management for the CC function.
Performance Management & Analytics:
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of communications initiatives.
Lead reporting and insights generation to inform strategic decisions and demonstrate value to stakeholders.
Leverage AI and automated performance dashboards.
Team Leadership & Capability Building:
Lead a team of operations and strategy professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
Drive capability development, training, and knowledge sharing across the communications function.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with senior leaders across functions (e.g., P&O, Legal & Compliance, Finance, Strategy and Transformation) to ensure alignment and integration.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the Head of Communications and leadership team.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
Batchelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field
Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
Experience and Skills: 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, strategy, or operations roles
Strategic thinking and analytical mindset
Strong leadership and influencing skills
Excellent project management and organizational abilities
Proficiency in communications tools, analytics platforms, and reporting systems
High level of business acumen and stakeholder management
