The Position
Can you bridge the gap between "Going Live" and "Creating Value"?
At Roche, we are deploying a fully integrated MarTech ecosystem across our organistion. We don't just want these tools to exist; we want them to perform. As the Business Operations Manager, you will be the custodian of the "Run State." You are the strategic leader who ensures our technology investments translate into seamless commercial execution, operational stability, and measurable business growth.
The Opportunity
Master of the "Run-State": You own the transition from project-led implementation to high-performing "Business as Usual" (BAU). You ensure that when the "project" ends, the value continues to scale.
Process Architect: You won’t just manage workflows; you will audit and redesign them. You’ll identify bottlenecks and spearhead the design of "to-be" processes that eliminate manual effort and maximize the ROI of our tech stack.
Strategic Governance: Establish and lead the change control and governance frameworks that manage how our business processes evolve post-launch.
Operational Insight: Build the reporting frameworks that translate technical uptime into business insights—tracking KPIs like cost-to-serve, user adoption, and speed-to-market.
Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a cross-functional operations function (Business and IT), empowering them to manage complex cutovers, hypercare, and long-term support.
Bridge Builder: Act as the critical link between technical RDT/IT teams, external vendors, and senior commercial stakeholders to ensure everyone is aligned on the "run" model.
Who You Are
You are a highly structured, process-oriented leader. You possess a "pragmatic" mindset and understand that technology is only as good as the business operations supporting it.
Operations Veteran: 7–10 years in Business Operations or Service Delivery within a large-scale, global environment. You know how to run enterprise platforms at scale.
Industry Domain: 5–10 years of experience in the commercial function of Pharma/Biotech (or a similarly regulated industry).
Transition Expert: Proven, hands-on experience managing complex "Project-to-Operations" shifts, including go-live readiness and hypercare.
Leader of People: 3+ years of direct people leadership or 10+ years of matrix leadership in distributed teams.
Process Mastery: A passion for continuous improvement and a "VACC" leadership mindset.
Education: University Degree in Business or related field; an MBA or ITIL certification is a significant advantage.
Mobility: Ready to travel globally ~10–15% of the time.
