Proclinical is seeking a System Support and Integration Manager (SSIM) for a contract role based in Basel. This position focuses on configuring IT applications, designing processes to support analytics, and ensuring seamless integration within a GxP-compliant environment. The role requires a proactive individual who can work independently, manage system configurations, and lead digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Configure IT applications and design processes to enhance business operations.
• Conduct gap assessments and define system designs to improve user satisfaction.
• Manage system configurations and static master data, driving standardization across global and local levels.
• Collaborate with system and process owners, contributing to governance and change advisory boards.
• Assess risks, perform root cause analyses, and evaluate the impact of changes.
• Lead project development and change management for key applications in collaboration with IT and line functions.
• Develop and manage user requirements specifications (URS), and oversee testing and validation processes (UAT, OQ, PQ).
• Ensure compliance with GxP regulations and internal procedures.
• Identify opportunities for global harmonization and collaborate with business process experts to integrate processes into key applications.
• Facilitate lifecycle management of key applications and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for system improvements.
• Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to users and team members on best practices.
• Promote a culture of learning, innovation, and best practice sharing across digitalization projects.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Background in Life Sciences or Information Technology (e.g., analytical/organic chemistry, pharmacy, pharmaceutical development, IT). Advanced degrees (PhD/MSc) are desirable.
• Proficiency in IT tools such as eLN, GLIMS, SAP, and familiarity with interfaces between data tools.
• Strong understanding of GMP principles, regulatory requirements, and quality standards in drug development.
• Excellent communication skills, including technical writing and presentation abilities.
• Experience in project management, organization, and planning.
• Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and drive innovation.
• Knowledge of upgrading IT tools for mobile platforms (smartphones, tablets).
• Fluency in English (oral and written); knowledge of the local language is a plus.
