Customer Deployment Lead
Über diesen Job
build for those who build 🏭
🚀 we are in production with real customers - scaling rapidly and shipping new features as we speak
💰 we secured €5M+ in funding from leading early-stage investors and seasoned industry experts
👥 we are a team of entrepreneurs, industry experts, and engineers driven by a joint ambition - to safeguard the economic foundation of Europe for future generations
as Customer Deployment Lead, you own what happens after the contract is signed. you work side by side with Beni (CEO), Niklas (COO), and Shane (CTO) and every customer deployment is your responsibility. no established playbook, no existing team, no inherited process. just a product that works, customers ready to go live, and the mandate to make it happen. you will run each onboarding like a formal project – structured, tracked, and relentlessly driven toward first value. you're the person in the room with the Head of IT and the Head of Procurement at the same time, translating between both worlds. the vision is simple: every customer goes live fast, stays live, and never needs a founder in the loop to get there.
Tasks
🎯 The impact you will have
- own the onboarding pipeline end-to-end. from signed contract to confirmed first value and beyond – every active deployment is yours. you shield our engineers from onboarding work so they can build product. and together with tech, you're the one who builds the path toward an onboarding process that runs without any engineer involvement
- be the technical bridge. you translate business requirements from procurement leads and IT departments into clear integration specs that our engineers can execute. ERP, DMS , email infra – you understand the landscape well enough to flag risks early and hand off cleanly
- build the support foundation. as an early-stage company, you won't just use the support system – you'll build it. support system, ticketing workflows, escalation paths, integration partner network. where direct implementation needs external support, you identify and manage the partners who extend our reach. where live customers hit issues, you handle them yourself. both keep you close to the product and make you better at what you do.
- support sales with technical credibility. you engage with customer IT departments during the sales cycle – security, compliance, implementation questions – in German, with the depth that builds trust before a contract is even signed.
- drive enablement and change management. a successful integration isn't just technical – it's adopted. you run key user trainings and make sure the customer gets real value from day one. and you think about how to automate this as we scale
- feed learnings back into the product. you're on the front lines of how opus performs in real customer environments. recurring challenges, feedback, edge cases – you capture them and translate them into actionable input for product and engineering. weekly, not quarterly
Requirements
⭐️ What makes you a great fit
- 2–3 years in consulting or structured implementation, plus the startup bug. you've run complex projects with senior client stakeholders – diligent, structured, on time.
- builder, not operator. you want to build something, not just deliver someone else's methodology. onboarding playbooks, partner frameworks, support infrastructure – if it's not there yet, you build it. ambiguity doesn't slow you down – it's where you do your best work
- you can hold the room. you can have a real conversation with an IT department and senior management without needing hand-holding. not necessarily deep, but enough to spot risks and build trust fast
- project management in your DNA. multiple deployments in parallel, shifting priorities, competing stakeholders – you keep everything tracked, aligned, and moving. you flag risks before they become delays and escalate when it matters, not when it's too late
- someone others want to follow. as opus scales, you won't stay a team of one. you're the kind of person who attracts talent and sets the standard for how deployment works here
- native German, strong professional English (C1+). enterprise kickoff with a German IT team in the morning, internal strategy session in English in the afternoon.
