This position is based in Berlin or Munich , with 3 days working at the office.
IDnow is seeking for Technical Product Manager (f/m/d) to make it fast, easy, and rewarding for developers to integrate and use IDnow’s public APIs, ensuring they have an excellent experience, clear documentation, and timely communication about updates—driving developer satisfaction and platform adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the public API product strategy and roadmap, aligning with developer needs and business goals.
- Manage the full API lifecycle: design, development, launch, versioning, maintenance, and deprecation.
- Deliver best-in-class developer experience through clear documentation, tutorials, SDKs, and sandbox environments.
- Act as the main point of contact for developer feedback and represent the developer voice in product decisions.
- Ensure developers can implement their use-cases efficiently and understand how to use new features and updates.
- Lead communication for API changes, including release notes, migration guides, and proactive outreach.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, compliance, and customer teams to ensure API quality, security, and regulatory alignment
Preferred Experience
- Around 3+ years of professional experience with our tech stack cited above (fully or partially), showing solid technical know-how and proficiency in this stack.
- You are able to independently implement complex features and functionalities based on specifications within this stack.
- You can use testing frameworks effectively.
- You have the ability to be autonomous and work with minimum necessary supervision on assignments.
- You possess a product-focused mindset, able to take ownership of implementing features from specifications to deployment.
- Highly proficient in English, as it is our working language. Additional languages are a plus.
Nice-to-have's
- Experience in identity verification, fintech, or regulated industries.
- Knowledge of API security, authentication, and compliance standards.
