The ARTORG Center at the University of Bern is an interdisciplinary research institute at the interface of medicine, engineering, and data science.
Within the SNF Spark project "Sonifying Tinnitus from EEG Signals", we aim to develop a deep learning–based pipeline to reconstruct acoustic representations of tinnitus directly from EEG recordings, enabling an objective and quantifiable characterization of phantom auditory perception.
Tasks
– Adapt and implement deep learning models and apply them to tinnitus EEG datasets
– Design and conduct controlled EEG experiments
– Analyze reconstructed auditory representations and evaluate feasibility
– Contribute to scientific publications and final project reporting
