Job purpose
Lead the operational onboarding of newly won strategic customers across regions, ensuring the seamless implementation of agreements and new business. Drive flawless, compliant onboarding while promoting operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional customer experience.
Principal accountabilities
- Customer-Centric Approach: Skilled at translating customer requirements into structured, actionable solutions that drive successful onboarding and operational excellence.
- Customs Knowledge: Solid understanding of customs compliance and operations to ensure accurate data and effective analytics strategies.
- Project Management: Proven ability to lead complex implementation projects from planning to go-live, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
- Problem solving: Strong analytical skills to identify root causes, resolve issues quickly, and mitigate risks effectively.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated success working with different stakeholders.
- Communication and influence: Ability to present complex concepts clearly, negotiate effectively, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Technology & Innovation: Familiarity with advanced tools to modernize customs operations and enhance efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience
- Validate and confirm customer onboarding scope in alignment with internal capabilities.
- Coordinate with regional and country customs teams to establish operational structures for account handling and implementation.
- Drive cross-functional alignment with operations, IT, and other relevant teams.
- Translate customer requirements into SOPs, data models, and compliant customs workflows.
- Contribute to global playbooks, templates, and best practices for onboarding and implementation.
- Develop and maintain project governance tools (project plans, RAID/RACI logs, dashboards).
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues; manage escalations effectively.
- Oversee customer solutions required testing, defect resolution, and readiness assessments.
- Ensure smooth transition from award to go-live and operational stabilization, including formal handovers.
- Conduct onboarding sessions and training for stakeholders.
- Obtain customer sign-off at key stage gates and ensure transition to business-as-usual operations.
- Ensure compliance with data quality and regulatory requirements.
- Track KPIs during and post-implementation to ensure success and continuous improvement.
- Capture lessons learned and feed into future implementations and global standards.
- Provide input to create business requirement documents, RTCS, and document customs training material.
- Maintain accurate records of project definition, customer acceptance, project progress, solutions designed, issues/risks, and outcomes achieved, regularly updating senior management and internal progress.

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.
- A master or MBA is considered a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years total experience across Customs, Analytics, Logistics and Supply Management fields
