• Definition and design of system and subsystem architectures for telecom satellite systems
• Perform space segment studies and concepts for NGSO constellations
• Perform system level analyses (link budgets, capacity, coverage, space-space and space-ground satellite links)
• Simulation of traffic models for intersatellite and satellite to ground communications
• Requirements definition and flow-down to subsystem specification
• Support in Review of Work and writing documentation
• Support in technical meetings and negotiations with suppliers
• Support to Test & Simulations with hardware- and software-in-the-loop, review of test data, validation, etc.
• Technical coordination of relevant R&D activities and technology predevelopments

• Successfully completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in communication systems engineering for NGSO satcom constellations
• Strong understanding of RF communication standards
• Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture and performance
• Several years of experience in the use of simulation tools for communication satellite traffic and RF link simulations
• Strong knowledge of multi-beam phased array antenna technology
• Familiarity with SatCom user Terminals and SatCom on the Move (SOTM) scenarios
• Very good knowledge of English written and spoken, German as a plus
