Dufour Aerospace is pioneering drones for critical missions. Based in Switzerland, Dufour develops and manufactures efficient and sustainable aircraft for cargo transportation, logistics, and public safety.

Tasks

We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our Guidance Team. This is a unique opportunity to gain deep insights into our advanced systems and contribute directly to core technology. The successful candidate will contribute to further developing our in-house aircraft logic software and guidance algorithms, taking projects from algorithm design all the way to field testing.

• Aircraft Logic Software Development: Developing and testing high-level software logic that governs aircraft states and mission transitions.
• Algorithm development: Contribute to algorithms that calculate the aircraft flight path and keep the aircraft on it.
• Simulation: Perform comprehensive simulation-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tests to verify new features and ensure system stability.
• Testing & Integration: Actively participate in the hands-on integration of your software onto our target hardware and iterate on solutions.
• Tools & Analysis: Create and maintain robust analysis tools to validate algorithm performance, process large datasets, and debug system behavior.
• Documentation: Derive technical requirements and write documentation.

Requirements

• Background in Aerospace, Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Knowledge and interest in mission planning software and high-level aircraft algorithms.
• Solid programming skills, particularly in C++ and Python.
• Good grasp of control systems concepts.
• Solid mathematical skills in linear algebra and spatial geometry.
• Applicable Work Permit
