Your responsibilities
- During the 18-24 months trainee program, you will develop a deep understanding of Uniper’s business, its value drivers, and the business environment
- You will start in the Renewables unit for the first six months of your trainee program and then rotate flexibly upon your own career development path and interests across the organization
- You co‑create your placement plan together with your mentor, based on your strengths and interests
- You will learn from, network and collaborate with experts from different fields across Uniper, contribute your ideas and work on your own projects
- You will contribute to and learn from our trainee community, receive trainings and development opportunities
- In your predefined home unit Renewables, you will support Uniper’s mission in terms of renewable energies by actively supporting us in developing new business models & technologies (e.g., by technology development forecasting, battery energy storage, baseload renewables, robots, AI/IT) in order to help us to improve our project development activities, engineering, market assessment and positioning
Your profile
- Successfully completed studies in business administration, engineering, IT, economics, social sciences preferably with a focus on renewable energies
- First practical experience gained through internships and/or working student activities, ideally including intercultural experiences
- Motivation to learn and develop in an international environment, taking the initiative and proactivity while working in various teams
- Communication skills and the aim and skills to network among different stakeholders paired with analytical skills
- Fluency in English is required, German is a plus
During your 18- or 24-month traineeship at Uniper, you will get to know various divisions and gain valuable experience for your future. In addition to some predefined stations, you can flexibly combine other departments that you would like to pass through and work in an international environment with team members from over 80 countries. In coordination with your team and the requirements of your tasks, you can choose how, when and where you want to work.
Based in Germany, the program gives you a deep insight into our day-to-day business and helps you to explore your personal strengths. You will also have the opportunity to bring in and enhance your interpersonal and teamwork skills. Individual mentoring and a buddy from day one will ensure you have the best possible foundation for the next step in your career at Uniper. We are fortunate that, on average, more than 95 % of all trainees remain with our team after their program and take on an appropriate follow-up position.
