PROJECT ASSISTANT (m/f/d) Full-time or part-time (min. 30 hours/week)
At DAHLEM, around 190 employees are involved in national and international projects for livable cities and healthy waterways. Our engineering office designs sewage treatment plants, canals, dikes, and supply lines at several locations, creates flood or heavy rain hazard maps, and much more.
Since 1937, we have been responsible for civil engineering and building construction in urban water management and know that the consumption of energy and raw materials must be balanced in the interests of sustainable use. To this end, we enthusiastically develop solutions that improve living spaces for us and for future generations.
Are you skilled at balancing organizational talent and communication skills, do you think proactively, plan ahead, and want to not only manage but also shape things? Then you've come to the right place!
As a project assistant (m/f/d) , you will be an important part of our Infrastructure division in Essen – with a clear eye for structures, processes, and people. Together, we will ensure that our urban water management projects stay on track and progress smoothly.
- You are the right hand of the management and project managers and support them in all organizational and administrative matters.
- You coordinate internal and external appointments, prepare meetings, take minutes, and ensure reliable follow-up on open issues and decisions.
- You take care of the ongoing maintenance of project documentation and ensure that all parties involved are kept up to date at all times.
- You are the contact person for external project participants, coordinate tasks with subcontractors, and assist with the review of addenda and invoicing.
- You use collaboration tools such as MS Teams or Winplan for efficient collaboration in everyday project work.
- You will participate in tendering and award procedures and support VgV procedures together with our interdisciplinary team.
- You will be part of a growing role profile and help to further develop the project assistance structure in our company.
- You have completed commercial training (e.g., office management assistant), ideally with a technical focus.
- You have already gained two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a project-related or technical environment.
- You are confident using MS Office (especially Excel, Word, Outlook) and ideally familiar with tools such as MS Project, iTWO, or Winplan.
- You work in a structured, independent, and solution-oriented manner and can maintain an overview even when working at a fast pace.
- You communicate professionally, enjoy working in a team, and are not afraid of technical topics.
- You are interested in further developing your professional skills—for example, in project management, procurement procedures, or digital tools.
- You are willing to actively participate in internal processes and contribute to the development of our working methods.
With you, our projects are flowing in the right direction. We look forward to receiving your application!
