Responsibilities
As a member of the Welcome Center team at TU Graz, you serve as the primary point of contact for international students and staff. You offer comprehensive support throughout their stay, from arrival to departure, addressing a wide range of non-academic matters such as entry and residency requirements, housing, networking, and social integration. Your role plays a key part in fostering the welcoming culture and advancing the internationalisation of TU Graz, contributing to a positive and enriching experience for all international students and staff.
Areas of responsibilities
- Advising international employees and students on visas, entry and residence formalities, accommodation, living in Graz, networking and integration
- Providing guidance to TU Graz institutes
- Offering on-site support for international employees and students
- Facilitating communication and cooperation with internal and external bodies (e.g., authorities).
- Promoting social integration through the planning and implementation of events and activities
- Preparing information materials (presentations, flyers, etc.) and maintaining websites and social media channels
- Reporting, budget responsibility, development of new projects
Admission Requirements
- completed Master's degree or diploma (e.g. linguistics, education, sociology, intercultural communication, communication sciences, human resources, global studies, international management or similar)
- Excellent German and English language skills
- Comprehensive MS Office skills
Desired Qualification
- experience in higher education an advantage
- first professional experience in an international environment desirable
- sensitivity to intercultural diversity
- strong communication skills and proactive approach to communication
- international experience or longer stay abroad

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 47,464.20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.

Organisational Unit
The International Office - Welcome Center service department is the information platform for all questions and matters regarding internationalisation for all members of TU Graz. It provides support for exchange students who are studying at TU Graz for a limited period of time, strengthens existing collaborations and forms collaborations with new partner institutions, runs exchange programmes for TU Graz students, teachers and researchers, ensures that the TU Graz has strong international networks and that all levels of the university benefit from the international cooperation and runs the Welcome Center which offers support specifically for international students completing their full degree at TU Graz as well as international employees of TU Graz.
