Responsibilities
Journal Administration
- Invoice processing - and control of printed and electronic journals
- Indexing of journals in printed and electronic form in the library system ALMA
- Quality control and data cleansing in the library system ALMA
Storage Space Planning
- Monitoring of growth and calculation of space requirements
- Creation of concepts for collection relocations and their organisation
- Collaboration in the "Shared Archiving Austria" project
Collaboration in the editorial team of the research information system
- Recording open access publications in the research information system PURE
- Advising and assisting researchers regarding the requirements of research funding organisations
- Collaboration in the continuous development of services
Admission Requirements
- Completed secondary education (Matura)
- Very good proficiency in German and good proficiency in English, both written and spoken
Desired Qualification
- Library training (e.g. ULG Library and Information Studies, basic course, or equivalent qualification)
- Profound knowledge of bibliographic metadata and the underlying rules and standards
- Knowledge of Creative Commons licences
- Knowledge of relevant reference systems for journals
- Accurate and independent way of working
- Excellent teamwork, organisational skills and flexibility
- Ability to work under pressure in stressful situations and high service and customer orientation
- Willingness to undergo further professional training

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 38,628.79 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
