Are you passionate about supporting employees and managers, improving People processes and finding pragmatic solutions to complex HR questions? Would you like to work in an international People organisation while bringing your knowledge of the German employment environment into a collaborative team?

If this sounds like you, or you’re curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join our People Advisory team as our new People Advisor and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.

Your new role

As a People Advisor, you will support employees and managers across a broad range of People-related topics. You will combine operational People support with advisory work, employee relations and case management, while working closely with colleagues across our global People organisation.

You will be part of an international environment where collaboration, customer focus, continuous improvement and the effective use of HR technology are important parts of how we work.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Supporting and advising employees and managers on People processes, policies and employment-related topics.
  • Providing guidance to managers on German employment-related matters and supporting them in navigating relevant People processes.
  • Supporting employee relations and case management topics.
  • Supporting employees and managers with global People processes and helping translate global processes into effective local implementation.
  • Managing operational People topics, including leave-related processes such as parental leave and sickness-related matters.
  • Supporting employees and managers in effectively using Workday, ServiceNow, reports and other People technologies and resources.
  • Working closely with our Global HR/People teams and other internal stakeholders to ensure effective end-to-end delivery of People services.
  • Supporting People-related activities and campaigns across Germany.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of People processes, policies, procedures and documentation.
  • Participating in local, regional and global People projects and identifying opportunities to simplify or improve how we work.

About you

We are looking for someone who enjoys combining People expertise with a strong service mindset.

You bring:

  • Previous experience working in a People/HR function, or other relevant experience such as project or process expertise.
  • Knowledge of employee relations processes and case management.
  • A strong customer and service orientation, with the ability to understand the needs of employees and managers and translate them into pragmatic solutions.
  • Confidence working with HR technology, ideally including Workday.
  • A pragmatic approach to problem solving and a genuine continuous-improvement mindset.
  • The ability to collaborate across cultures and work effectively in international and virtual teams.
  • Fluent German as well as strong English skills are required.
  • A relevant educational background.

What we can offer you

  • Commitment to your development
  • Leaders guided by our Leadership Principles
  • A culture that welcomes you as the unique person you are
  • Inspiration from colleagues, clients, and projects
  • The long-term thinking of a foundation-owned company
  • Flexible working hours and locations
  • Hybrid working: 2-3 days of mobile working per week
  • Permanent employment, with part-time possibilities
  • An extensively subsidised 'Germany ticket'
  • Contribution to company pension scheme and occupational disability insurance

Ready to join us?

Please submit your application and CV online. We invite diversity in all its forms and encourage applicants from all groups to apply.

Please submit your application with your up-to-date CV. Please also upload any available reference letters (or if you have worked outside of Germany and do not have reference letters, contact information of referees) from your previous employments and the certificate of your highest education. This will help to facilitate a smooth and quick process in case you are offered the position. If these documents are not uploaded, it might delay the process.

We recognise that some candidates only apply when they tick every box. However, passion and potential often outweigh a perfect resume and Ramboll’s supportive learning culture can help you grow. So if this role resonates with you but you don't meet all the requirements, we encourage you to apply. You might be the perfect fit for this opportunity or another within our team.
