The Associate Director of Medical Affairs, Molecular Diagnostics, will manage the scientific and medical support for the QIAStat Infectious Diseases portfolio. The successful candidate will lead a global team of scientists and medical advisors, support the other Medical Affairs programs and regional Medical Affairs teams based in the US, Latin America, China and Asia Pacific.

Key responsibilities:

- Manage the daily activities, budget, planning and resources of the team

- Act as a core member of the Project Development Committees

- Lead medical risk analyses and work closely with Post Market Surveillance team

- Lead Medical Training and Medical Education programs

- Act as lead for the Investigator Initiated QIAStat Study program

- Lead the interdisciplinary support activities for the Commercial, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Research and Development teams

Position Requirements

- Strong laboratory/medical background in infectious disease diagnostics.

- Minimum 5 years' experience in Medical Affairs, preferably for an IVD company.

- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a managerial role.

- Experience in the design and development of infectious disease products.

- Exemplary interpersonal skills at all levels of seniority with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluent English essential.

- Willingness and availability to travel globally as required (further details available at interview).
