Stellenbeschreibung
The HiWi is expected to work closely with other team members and project supervisors at MycoLab of the Chair of Sustainable Construction, Prof. Dirk Hebel located at the KIT West campus on the research topics defined by the team supervisors which include but not limited to: - Processing raw materials including bamboo, timber and agricultural waste into different shape and size, and make them ready for further processing and production
- Fabrication of Mycelium composites with processed raw materials
- Design and fabrication of research tools with CNC and laser cutting machine at the faculty when necessary, under supervision
- Testing physical and mechanical properties of composites
- Taking care of the lab tidiness and housekeeping together with other team members
- Familiar with relevant design software such as Adobe InDesign, AutoCAD, Rhino or similar programs

If you are at your 4th semester bachelor and above or a master student from faculty of Architecture or faculty Civil engineering, love to work in a lab, like to work in a team, learn new things, work with wood, mushroom, organic waste and innovative materials, then do not hesitate to write to us for a potential HiWi application at MycoLab!
