documenta and Museum Fridericianum gGmbH is seeking a Production and Technology Coordinator (m/f/d) for documenta 16 in Kassel.

This is a full-time position, limited until December 31, 2027.

documenta und Museum Fridericianum gGmbH is a non-profit company owned and financed by the City of Kassel and the State of Hesse, and also receives financial support from the German Federal Cultural Foundation. The non-profit company is responsible for the documenta exhibition, which takes place every five years, the Fridericianum, the documenta archive, which is being developed into the documenta Institute, and the documenta Hall.

We are looking for a well-structured and responsible personality who would like to become part of the documenta team, starting on April 1, 2026.

Your responsibilities

• Collaboration in the project management of exhibition projects
• Collaborating on the budgeting of exhibition projects
• Collaborating on cost tracking and cost control for exhibition projects
• Collaborating on the technical preparation, planning, setup, and support of exhibition projects
• Collaborating on the implementation of tenders, awarding contracts, and invoicing services related to exhibition production
• Collaboration in the management of external service providers in the technical area

Your profile

• Very good knowledge of contemporary exhibition production processes

• Very good written and spoken German and English
• Experience in managing large budgets
• Confident use of common IT programs (e.g., CAD, 3D modeling, databases, MS Office, MS Project)
• Affinity for technology and interest in current discourses in contemporary art
• Initiative, ability to work in a team, and strong communication skills
