Your Responsibilities

Excellent research needs state-of-the-art IT infrastructure and innovative digital services. With a team of about 50 experts, we will redesign the institute's digital landscape over the next few years and implement an ambitious digital transformation programme to facilitate the Institute’s rapid growth.
As part of our strategy, we are upgrading our network to a fully redundant 100G connectivity and redesigning security measures such as NG firewalls, VPN, micro-segmentation, and ZTNA. Moreover, we are planning to raise the capacities and standards of our data centres.

• Design, deployment, maintenance and upgrade of the Institute's network infrastructure (switches, wireless access points, fibre optic and copper connections)
• Configure, test and deploy new network security equipment including micro-segmentation, network authentication, next-generation firewalls, and VPN
• Provide 2nd and 3rd-level network support to identify, troubleshoot and solve network outages
• General knowledge of state-of-the-art data centre design and operating models
• Implement and optimise automated network management
• Documentation of network and data centre architecture as well as system configurations
