We are looking for a Procurement Manager to take the lead on purchasing at Paessler. In this role, you shape our procurement strategy, lead and develop our compact procurement team, and negotiate with national and international suppliers, always with an eye on cost, quality and risk. You work closely with IT, Product Development, Quality and Product Management, and you bring fresh ideas to how we buy, from standardized processes and automation to the smart use of AI.

YOUR TASKS
- Lead, develop, and inspire a team of two (including this role), fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Design and implement a forward-thinking procurement strategy aligned with company objectives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality
- Continuously optimize procurement processes and organizational structures, leveraging digitalization, standardization, and automation to increase efficiency
- Take ownership of supplier risk management and supplier development initiatives
- Prepare, conduct, and conclude purchasing negotiations and framework agreements with national and international suppliers, utilizing benchmarks and market indices to achieve optimal results
- Establish and nurture strong cross-functional partnerships, working closely with IT, Product Development, Quality, and Product Management
- Ensure full compliance with the company’s Code of Conduct and all legal and regulatory requirements
YOUR PROFILE
- 7+ years of professional and leadership experience in high-performing procurement organizations
- Entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on mentality, and a track record of innovation, partnership, and solution orientation
- Successfully completed business, finance, supply chain management or similar university degree, or comparable qualification
- Business fluent in German and English
- Experience in procurement within the IT sector
- Established and resilient network of contacts and suppliers
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
