To strengthen our customer-centric approach and further expand our DIY business, we are looking for a Head of Customer Solutions (m/f/d) to lead and develop our international customer solution activities.
The Role & Responsibilities
In this role, you will take full ownership of customer-specific solution development within our DIY coatings segment. You´ll act as a strategic interface between customers, sales, product development management and R&D to ensure the successful development and implementation of tailored solutions. You´ll drive customer-focused innovation, manage key international accounts on a strategic level and contribute significantly to the growth and positioning of our DIY business.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Customer Solutions function for the DIY coatings segment
- Drive the development of customer-specific product solutions in close collaboration with R&D and Product Development Management
- Act as a strategic partner for key international customers and support complex project negotiations
- Translate customer needs into technical and commercial concepts
- Manage and prioritize customer projects and ensure timely execution
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing and Business Development to align on market strategies
- Build and further develop a high-performing, customer-focused team
- Identify trends, customer requirements and innovation opportunities in the DIY market
Your Profile
- University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a comparable technical/natural science discipline
- Several years of experience in technical customer support with a focus on application-related topics
- Solid expertise in technical service, particularly in the analysis, evaluation and optimization of coating systems
- Experience in the technical development and adaptation of products to meet specific requirements and application conditions
- Practical understanding of material behavior, formulation processes and application-related interactions in the coatings field
- Ideally, experience in the DIY or application-oriented coatings segment
- Industry knowledge in the chemical and/or coatings industry is considered an advantage
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
- High customer orientation and ability to manage complex stakeholder environments
- Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts into customer value propositions
- Fluent in German (Level C1) and English (Level B2)
- Willingness to travel internationally including extended business trips when required
